  • 4 sausages
  • 1 cup rice
  • 1 carrot
  • 1 onion
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 2 cups water
  • Salt and and balck ground pepper to taste

How to Make Baked Sausage and Rice Casserole

Step 1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Step 2. Start by preparing the vegetables. Peel and chop the onion into small cubes, grate the carrot and finely dice the onion.

Step 3. Season the rice mixture with salt and your preferred spices. Mix well to evenly distribute the seasonings.

Step 4. Wash the rice and place it into the baking dish evenly. Add chopped vegetables .

Step 5. Place the sausages in the baking dish.

Step 6. Season the rice mixture with salt and your preferred spices again . Mix well to evenly distribute the seasonings.

Step 7. Pour one cup of water over the rice and sausages. While baking you will add additional water from time to time.

Step 8. Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil or a lid.

Step 9. Place the covered dish in the preheated oven and bake for approximately 50 minutes. Then remove the lid and live for 1o minutes more. This step will help to make crispy sausage.  Check occasionally to ensure water is s not drying out.

Step 10. Once done, remove the dish from the oven and let it sit for a few minutes before serving.

Step 11. Taste and adjust the seasoning with more salt and spices if needed. Serve your delicious Baked Sausage and Rice Casserole hot, and enjoy!
