Chicken pate is a very tender and tasty appetizer. Adding butter gives the pate nice consistency for spreading on a slice f bread. Walnuts provide more calories and a mild nutty tasty to the whole meal. 


  • Chicken breasts — 500 g.
  • Onion — 200 g.
  • Carrot — 100 g.
  • Vegetable oil — 2 tbs.
  • Butter — 100 g.
  • Cashew nuts — 80 g.
  • Salt to taste
  • Black ground pepper to taste

How to make chicken pate

Step 1. Peel onion and carrot. Then take a big saucepan and add 1.5 l of water. I have removed chicken skin from the breast. It cannot be used in a pate. Cook meat and vegetables for 40 minutes altogether. Add salt and black ground pepper.

Step 2. Chop left raw onion. Heat the frying pan and add vegetable oil to it. Fry the onion till light transparency.

Step 3. When chicken meat is ready, wait until it cools down and cut it into smaller pieces. Melt butter in a microwave or you can chop the meat with butter in a blender.

Step 4. Chop cashew in a blender. Remove them into a separate bowl.

Step 5. Put pieces of chicken breast, boiled diced carrot and fried onion in a blender and cut them thoroughly. Then add grated walnuts, butter, salt and black ground pepper. Mix all ingredients together thoroughly.

Step 6. Prepare clean jars and lay chicken pate into them. Keep the ready pate for one hour in the fridge. Then you can use homemade pate for sandwiches, toasts, or filling pancakes as you wish.
