For this spicy tempura hake you can take fillets or a whole fish. The meal will be spicy but you can put ingredients more or less according to your taste. You can substitute hake in the recipe with zander or sea bass. You can also cook non-spicy fried hake with mashed potato and do not add much spice.
- Hake — 400 g.
- Fresh hot chili pepper — 1 pc.
- garlic clove — 2 pcs.
- Lemon juice — tablespoon
- Lemon for garnishing — a half of citrus
- Olive oil — 6 tbs.
- Breadcrumbs for frying— 100 g.
- Eggs — 2 pcs.
- Salt — to taste
- Ground black pepper — to taste
How to make spicy tempura hake
Step 1. Prepare the sauce where the pieces of fish will be marinated.
Step 2. Pour three tablespoons of olive oil, one tablespoon of lemon juice, two clove of chopped garlic, finely chopped hot pepper into a plate. Add dry spices to taste. Cut the fish into small pieces and grease them with marinade, live for 20 minutes.
Step 2. Remove the fish pieces from the marinade and dip in breadcrumbs and then in the salted egg mass. Cook future spicy fried fish in a pan on both sides for 3-4 minutes.
