Steamed turkey meatballs in a slow cooker recipe

I like to cook simple dishes that do not require much time. One of these dishes is steamed turkey meatballs in a slow cooker. Meatballs can be prepared beforehand for the future and frozen. It is usually very convenient because you spend less effort on preparation and can make slow cooker frozen turkey meatballs.

Ingredients for steamed turkey meatballs

  • Turkey minced meat 500 g.
  • Onion 1 pc.
  • Eggs 2 pcs.
  • Breadcrumbs 4tbs.
  • Salt, ground pepper

Milk sauce will be an excellent company for turkey meatballs. To prepare it, we need a simple set of products.

Ingredients for milk sauce

  • Butter 25 g.
  • Wheat flour 1 tbs.
  • Milk or cream -200 ml.
  • Small bunch of dill.
  • Salt to taste

How to cook turkey mince meatballs in slow cooker

  1. Put the minced meat on a plate. Finely chop the onion, add it into the minced meat with eggs, breadcrumbs, salt and ground pepper. Make meatballs that have a size of a walnut.
  2. Add water to the bowl of the slow cooker. Set the steaming cooking mode for 30 minutes. Place a sieve for steamer. Wait till the water boils, put meatballs on it and close a slow cooker lid. Set the steaming cooking mode for 30 minutes.
  3. For sauce. Mix butter with flour. Rub it until a homogeneous smooth mass. Pour a glass of milk or cream. Add salt and chopped dill. Cook over low heat until the group thickened, about 5 -7 minutes. All this time, stir the mass.
