Сheese potato pancakes are easy to cook. In this recipe I especially like Cheddar cheese. You can substitute it with any other you have. In fact, the cooking process resembles draniki, but it does not contain onion and the potatoes are grated when they are half-raw. Please, try to make your pancakes thin (1 cm or even less) if you want to have well fried meal. Otherwise you will have a raw meal.

How to cook cheese potato pancakes
Step 1. Boil some amount of water. While heating the water, peel and wash potatoes. When the water is boiled place potatoes in it and cook for 6 minutes. The vegetables will soften but will not be ready enough. In other variant you can grate potato and fry it all together for five minutes. I try to eliminate oil content in the recipe so I choose the first way.
Step 2. Grate cheese.
Step 3 Place potato in a blender and cut it. Than add two eggs, butter, chopped fresh dill salt and black ground peeper. Mix well. You may not include fresh greens in recipe. I had it, so I decided to add additional light flavors to hash browns. Also add 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil or batter for the dough not to be sticky.
Step 4. Heat the oil in a frying pan. Form potato pancakes of a desired size. Press a little mashed potato pancakes with spoon to make them thinner. Fry for 3-4 minutes on each side.
Serve hot or cold with a sour cream.
Enjoy your meal!
